§ 62-68. Apprehension; examination of persons suspected of infection or exposure.
Whenever the health officer has reasonable grounds to believe that any person is infected with, or has been exposed to, a venereal disease, he is authorized to cause such person to be apprehended by any of his authorized representatives and detained and examined by the health officer, or some other reputable physician, to determine whether or not such person is infected with a venereal disease. The examination shall include the taking of specimens for laboratory tests for gonorrhea and syphilis. Such laboratory tests shall be performed in the laboratories of the health department.
